PROBLEM:
We increasingly spend too much time on our phones, causing us to miss out on some of life’s experiences.

INSIGHT:
People increasingly feel trapped by their smartphones, but feel unable to go without them. 

CAMPAIGN:
Lightphone is a minimalist smartphone that is designed to eliminate as many distractions as possible. With text, calls, maps and music as its only features, it forces us to live our lives intentionally. It’s time to live life outside of our devices, and gain the freedom to keep them in our pockets.

EXPERIENTIAL: Phone Check

Lightphone will sponsor small, intimate events such as plays, pop up concerts and other activities best enjoyed without distraction. The price of admission is checking phones in with an attendant at the entrance. Included is a free trial offer for a Lightphone data plan.

Event-goers will receive a claim check, allowing them to securely and easily re-connect after the event.

 

GEO-SPECIFIC ADS

Walking with your head down looking at your phone can be dangerous. With distracted drivers (who may also be on their phone) and unexpected dropoffs, it’s best to keep your view unobscured.

Lightphone ambient ads in the form of sidewalk decals will be placed in relevant locations with copy pertaining to each case (warnings about crossing intersections, outside music venues, etc.)
